IFM易福門激光傳感器工作時，先由激光發(fā)射二極管對準目標發(fā)射激光脈沖。經(jīng)目標反射后激光向各方向散射。部分散射光返回到傳感器接收器，被光學(xué)系統(tǒng)接收后成像到雪崩光電二極管上。雪崩光電二極管是一種內(nèi)部具有放大功能的光學(xué)傳感器，因此它能檢測極其微弱的光信號，并將其轉(zhuǎn)化為相應(yīng)的電信號。 常見的是激光測距傳感器，它通過記錄并處理從光脈沖發(fā)出到返回被接收所經(jīng)歷的時間，即可測定目標距離。IFM易福門激光傳感器必須極其地測定傳輸時間，因為光速太快。

車輛寬高的超限檢測
采用IFM易福門激光傳感器進行快速測量，利用PC工控機和可視化編程軟件VB的網(wǎng)絡(luò)內(nèi)核與傳感器進行數(shù)據(jù)的實時傳輸及處理，同時還設(shè)計了界面友好的上位機控制軟件。現(xiàn)場試驗數(shù)據(jù)表明，該系統(tǒng)實時性好、測量精度高，具有一定的實用價值。
高速公路收費站
用于高速公路收費站，以進行車輛的計數(shù)及安全保護。馬來西亞Teras公司就已將上百套IFM易福門激光傳感器應(yīng)用于其手動和自動收費站系統(tǒng)。IFM易福門激光傳感器采用飛行時間（TOF）測量原理，可在檢測區(qū)域內(nèi)形成4個平面，以對車輛進行檢測，同時，該產(chǎn)品還具有防追尾、車輛安全保護等功能。IFM易福門激光傳感器較之傳統(tǒng)光幕具有靈敏度高、性高、安裝方便、性價比高、穩(wěn)定性強等優(yōu)勢。
